I personally believe that the best way to administer Communion is on the tongue, so much so that in my Diocese I have forbidden [vietato] particles in the hands. Voisiko joku kääntää, mitä tämä tarkoittaa: “Non ho dubbi che le intenzioni dei Neocatecumenali siano lodevoli e che essi realmente cerchino Dio con calore e gioia. E penso che vada instaurato con loro un dialogo sano e, al tempo stesso, fermo nella verità. Il Vaticano stesso sta cercando una soluzione per approvare gli Statuti. Tuttavia, nella celebrazione della Santa Messa da parte dei Neocatecumenali ci sono aspetti che assolutamente non condivido. Ricordo e ribadisco che la liturgia è unica e deve essere rispettata da tutti alla stessa maniera. Insomma, tolleranza sì verso i Neocatecumenali, ma è compito della Chiesa richiamarli al rispetto dell’Eucarestia”.
