SSPX:lle asetetut ehdot ovat enemmän kuin avokätisiä:
1. A commitment to a proportioned response to the generosity of the Pope.
2. A commitment to avoid any public speech which does not respect the person of the Holy Father and which can be negative for ecclesial charity.
3. A commitment to avoid the pretense of a Magisterium superior to the Holy Father and to not put forward the Fraternity [SSPX] in opposition to the Church.
4. A commitment to demonstrate the will to behave honestly in full ecclesial charity and in respect to the authority of the Vicar of Christ.
5. A commitment to respect the date – fixed at the end of the month of June – to respond positively. This will be a required and necessary condition for the immediate preparation for adhesion to have full communion.

Toivon ja rukoilen, että SSPX:n paluu täyteen yhteyteen toteutuu. En kuitenkaan usko siihen. Kieltäytymällä näistä ehdoista SSPX on ajautumassa yhä selvemmin sedevakantistiseksi ryhmittymäksi. Piispojen Fellay ja Williamson viimeaikainen kielenkäyttö (mm. "täydellisen liberaali paavi / anti-semiitti") pyhää isää kohtaan on yksi näyte SSPX:n todellisista asenteista.
SSPX.org etusivulla oleva teksti "The Society of St. Pius X professes filial devotion and loyalty to Pope Benedict XVI, the Successor of Saint Peter and the Vicar of Christ" on lähinnä huono vitsi, mikäli he eivät näillä ehdoilla palaa.
I know most of us read blogs such as WDTPRS and NLM, but both have articles urging us to pray for Bp. Fellay. I certainly will. Despite some of their language, I believe they are good orthodox priests who have much to offer. Please pray.

Of course I pray. But given the latest progress, it sure does not look good. If the SSPX answer will be indeed negative, I would continue praying that individual lay people and the priests of SSPX would no longer follow their bishops to deeper schism with the Holy Mother Church. It is really dangerous to resist the Vicar of Christ.
