Fr. Luke OFM from Rhodes, Greece, is visiting Finland. Today, he said a beautiful Mass in the extraordinary form of the Roman Rite in Saint Henry's Cathedral. Tomorrow, Friday, we are able again to enjoy the beauty of the Mass of all times at 7.45 p.m. in the Cathedral. Welcome.
According to what Fr Luke has told us, the Fransiscan friars in the City of Rhodes say the old Mass regularly: once a month in their church San Francesco. Other Sundays, the Mass is said in the newer rite, nevertheless in Latin.
Fr. Luke was invited to Finland by the Lutheran church because of his ecumenical efforts in Rhodes: he was kind enough to help build a Lutheran/Ecumenical chapel next to the Catholic church so that the Lutherans would not need to use the Catholic Sanctuary.
